Eng. for Kids School Day Off Camp - 24254

Send the kids to us for the day! We will keep them busy with lots of teacher lead and open exploration STEM projects. Students will be exposed to various engineering disciplines such as aerospace, civil, robotics, and marine through teacher lead projects focused on the Engineering Design Process (Ask, Brainstorm, Design, Build, Test, and Improve). During free time students will have access to activities, crafts, and games which will include short amounts of Minecraft. Our 1-day camps offer open drop-off and pick-up times between 8am and 5pm. Please pack a non-refrigerated lunch, water bottle and snack for your camper throughout the day.

Staying in town for Spring Break and looking for a fun way to spend your days away from school?! Come spend it with Gahanna's energetic Recreation Staff, as we bring a little bit of summer camp to the end of March! Participants can choose to register by the day or for the entire week. Each day will offer different activities and an off-site field trip, to keep your child engaged and active over the week. Price includes a daily snack and field trip/activities. Full schedule will be available online in early 2018.

Kids love to dress up and play doctor. Little Medical School(R) after-school class introduces youth to the exciting and inspiring world of medicine. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games, kids learn how the body and organs work, how to use instruments that real doctors use, and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Each child gets his/her own stethoscope and an opportunity to listen to a heartbeat, stomach gurgles, and more. Each child also receives a diploma, as a graduate of Little Medical School(R), at the completion of the course.

This interactive course teaches topics such as First Aid, SElf-Heimlich maneuver, reasons to call 911, fire escape plans, microwave safety and how to problem solve out of the ordinary situations. A parent guide is included to provide helpful discussion points between parent and child. Parents do not need to attend the class.

This is a great opportunity to actually use a pottery wheel. Participants will learn how to transform a piece of clay into a wonderful bowl, vase, or plate, after drawing their own design.
